Customer/Inventory Pricing

MDS enables even the most complex customer pricing structures to be established, automating the pricing of invoices, as well as being transparent to the operator.

Standard Price Structure – MDS offers 16 selling prices that can be assigned to either wholesale or retail categories.

Discount Matrix – Each item may be assigned to a discount category, with tables of discount categories then created to form discount matrixes. Each discount can be nett $, nett cents or % % off list.

The customer can be assigned a default-buying price 1-16, and an appropriate discount matrix. By utilising this method, quite complex item / customer pricing structures can be stored within MDS to calculate correct selling prices automatically.

Special pricing – Where a customer’s price can not be derived from a discount off list, special prices can be established by entering the customer, item, price and the start / finish dates that these prices will apply.

Quantity Breaks – Breaks can apply to an individual item, category of items or be “across the board” for all items sold. MDS can also combine and recalculate prices where items from the same category need to be "mixed” in order to calculate the overall quantity break. Each customer can be assigned a specific quantity “starting point” ie: where a large customer will purchase many times through the month, and you want their “quantity” recognized based on the month’s expected sales rather than on each invoice.

Mark-ups – MDS can automatically recalculate the selling prices each time a new receipt is printed on preset price mark-ups.

Split Pack Sales – Sales can be made in “cartons” – or individual “packets”.

Notional Pricing – items can be ordered in one unit but sold in another i.e. ordered in lineal matter but sold in tonnes/kgs.

Fasteners – for the fastening industry, MDS comes complete with built-in facilities to sell in price / 100, 250, 1000 etc.

Levies and rebates – For cooperatives and customer incentive schemes, MDS can automatically process sales where levies or rebates apply.

Freight – Each customer delivery address can have a unique freight charge matrix applied to automatically calculate the relevant freight charges.

Sales Tax – MDS can accommodate sales to both retail and wholesale customers, to calculate sales tax liabilities and / or rebates correctly.

MDS can also operate where two or more companies need to operate interposed to one another.
