What happened

Micronet Systems (Australia) has identified and responded to a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorised access to certain internal systems as part of a ransomware incident. On 22 February 2026, Micronet detected unauthorised access and took immediate steps to contain the incident, including taking the Micronet and HARMONiQ platforms temporarily offline.

What information may have been involved
The incident may have involved access to personal information held within the Micronet and HARMONiQ platforms. Depending on the individual and how the platforms are used, this information may have included:
• names and contact details (such as email address, phone number and address);
• account credentials (such as username or email address, passwords, multi-factor authentication details or security questions); and
• certain communications content stored in the platforms (including emails, messages or call recordings, where enabled).

At this time, there is no evidence that personal information has been misused. However, due to the nature of the incident, it is possible that personal information was accessed by the ransomware perpetrator.

What we have done
We acted promptly to contain the incident and secure our systems. This included taking the Micronet and HARMONiQ platforms offline. We have notified the relevant privacy regulators in accordance with our obligations under privacy law and are continuing to monitor the situation closely. We have successfully restored key systems from secure backups, and core backend services are now operational. We are progressively restoring customer access to the main HARMONiQ and Micronet platforms. Our team is carefully managing this process to ensure users can securely reconnect as systems are brought back online. We have also engaged cyber security specialists to carry out a security audit of the relevant systems affected by the incident.

What you can do
We recommend that you remain alert to any unusual or suspicious activity. In particular:
• Be cautious about unexpected emails, messages or phone calls that ask for personal information, prompt you to click on links, or request credentials;
• If you have an account for Micronet and/or HARMONiQ, consider resetting your password and reviewing your security settings (including multi-factor authentication) where available; and
• If you use the same or similar passwords elsewhere, update those passwords and ensure multi-factor authentication is enabled where available.
